Just About Ready
OK - so it looks like it's been some time since I wrote. A lot of time and a lot of paint. But - I'm just about done. The kitchen area here, on top of the primer, required three coats of paint. The main shop area only needed two. Then the bathroom - another two coats - but not "Wales Green", I chose "Twilight Magenta" instead. Then my dear husband spent all of last weekend putting down my black and white checkerboard tile floor. What a doll! What a floor! A major improvement from what was here before.
Together Mark and I put together the IKEA Expedit shelving units that will store the wool. Today my debit/credit processing machine arrived. Monday the signs will go up. I'm waiting for a wool shipment from Mission Falls. Meanwhile, I'm heading back to Diamond Yarns on Monday for another load of yarn. I've e-mailed my order for buttons and knitting needles/crochet hooks to my various suppliers. Still have to work on getting the Addi Turbos. Don't know that I can afford to stock too many!! Also, need to get back to Cabin Fever and Mac'N'Me for patterns.
We still need to put up the slot wall in the shop and I must visit the place that sells the hooks for the wall. I should check Solutions - who knows, they might stock that kind of thing. The kitchen requires a piece of trim along one wall and I think Mark is desperate to put quarter round everywhere!
With any luck, kniterary will be open for business next week! Wish me luck!

Hi there!
I came across your blog while searching for a yarn store in the Whitby/Oshawa area; your blog came up because I included "addi turbos" in the search parameters.
I'm visiting the area this coming week, and hope that your store will be open so that I can check it out. It sounds like it will be a very attractive space.
Can I make 2 suggestions? I would suggest you put the name and address of your shop up in your profile so that it is easy to find. Also, try to get onto the woolworks list [http://www.woolworks.org/stores/on.html], because that is a convenient place to look up LYS when travelling.
Hi there,
I live in oshawa and would love to visit your store when it opens can you please email me the location.
Thanks
Michelle
We're all anxiously awaiting your opening here in Whitby!
